Why We Built Mimir
Researchers know the answer to their question is out there somewhere. But finding it means days of searching, reading, cross-referencing, and hoping you didn't miss the one paper that matters. It's the part of research that everyone tolerates and nobody enjoys.
We built Mimir because we were tired of doing this the hard way.
Meet the Team

Former research scientist at Sandia National Lab, specializing in computational materials science and molecular modeling. Chris has been writing code since middle school. He lived the frustration of spending days tracking down experimental data and decided to fix it.

Security and privacy researcher who built large-scale data systems at Google and Meta. She previously co-founded and served as CTO of a venture-backed company. Peri brings the engineering and product expertise to make Mimir reliable and secure for researchers and enterprises.
The Vision
There are over 200 million scientific papers in print. The knowledge inside them, including experimental measurements, processing conditions, material properties, and more, is one of the most valuable datasets in the world, and almost none of it is structured or searchable.
We're building the infrastructure to change that. Starting with materials science, where we have the deepest expertise and the most urgent need, and expanding into every field where the answers exist but are nearly impossible to find.
